What does “A2” mean?

A2 refers to a type of beta-casein protein found in the milk of some cattle. Mochan’s ghee comes from the milk of our company’s own indigenous cows, raised on our company’s own farms and grazing freely on open Haryana pastures — milk we know from farm to jar.

Good ghrita requires patience, clean pasture, and unhurried hands — never factory shortcuts or inflated claims.

90–95% of our profit

Where your money goes

goes to the Nandi and the cow goshala.

Mochan is not priced to make us rich. Almost everything it earns looks after the bulls and old cows that a dairy has no use for. That is why it costs what it costs — and why we will never cut a corner to make it cheaper.

Still curious? Ask on WhatsApp
  • Choose your jar on the Shop page, buy it once or subscribe, and place your order. We confirm every order with you personally before your batch is made. Prefer to talk first? WhatsApp us.

  • Pick a jar and how often it should come — every 30, 45 or 60 days. Your jar is set aside in each batch, and you can skip, pause or cancel at any time.

  • Three reasons. It is made 100% in-house, by the slow bilona method, in small batches only after you order. And 90–95% of the profit goes to the Nandi and cow goshala we support. Charity does not come free — every jar pays for it.

  • We do — 100% in-house. Every step, from setting the curd to filling the jar, happens in our own unit, by people who know the trade to the core. Nothing is outsourced, contract-made or white-labelled.

  • Bilona is the traditional way of making ghee: milk is cultured into curd, the curd is churned slowly to lift the butter, and the butter is then gently simmered over low heat until the milk solids separate and pure ghee remains. No cream separator, no shortcuts.

  • So that what reaches you is freshly made, not taken off a warehouse shelf. It is also why we sell less: each month’s batches are limited, and when they are reserved, new orders join the next batch.

  • Mochan comes with a genuineness certificate — ask us for a copy at any time.

  • Mochan serves Gurugram & Delhi NCR.

  • A2 refers to a type of beta-casein protein found in the milk of some cattle, including India’s indigenous breeds. Mochan is made from the milk of our company’s own indigenous cows, raised on our company’s own farms on open Haryana pastures.

  • Keep it closed, dry and away from sunlight, and always use a dry spoon.
